biography
Barry Atsma (1972) has been a member of Toneelgroep Amsterdam from 2003 till 2013 and appeared in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Russians!, Angels in America and Husbands. In 2005 he wrote and performed in the monologue Denne.

Before he started with Toneelgroep Amsterdam, he played with several other companies, such as De Paardenkathedraal, where he appeared in Midsummer Night’s Dream [Midzomernachtsdroom]. In addition to the theatre, Atsma appears regularly in television series and films, such as Spoon [Lepel], The Storm [De Storm], Love Life [Komt een vrouw bij de dokter] (for which he won the Rembrandt Award and Gouden Kalf for best actor, 2009), Black Water [Zwart Water], Loft, Tape and Quiz (2012).
