Celia Nufaar

Celia Nufaar (1937) re-entered the ranks of Toneelgroep Amsterdam in 2006. She was also a member of the TA ensemble from 1987 to 2002.

In season 17|18 she will perform in the premieres of From the life of the marionettes (director Nanouk Leopold) and in the revivals of The things that pass, Ibsen house and Kings of war.

Since 2006 Nufaar played at TA in The Fountainhead, Antonioi Project, Hedda Gabler, Antigone-Kreon-Oidipous, Disgrace, Rocco and his brothers and Scenes from a Marriage (Colombina 2005).

Before she played at TA in Romeo en Julia, Mind the gap, Snaren, Zonder titel, Jeanne d'Arc van de slachthuizen, De Cid, Dark Lady. Een ideale vrouw, Haar leven, haar doden, Herakles, Zes personages op zoek, Zinsbegoocheling, Een soort Hades, Licht, Voorjaarsontwaken. Alpengloeien, Ivanov, Prometheus, Ecstacy, Ilias, Eigenlijk ben ik Spaans, Elisabeth II, Bergtaal, Count your blessings, En een kleine jongen zal ze hoeden (Jesaja 11:7), Lady Windermere's fan, Roberto Zucco, De mooie onbekende, Sumbo N.V,, Verf, Ballet, Werther Nieland, Kras, Titus, geen Shakespeare, Bakeliet, De hoeksteen and In de eenzaamheid van de katoenvelden. For her roles in Mein Kampf (1989) and King Lear (1990) Nufaar earned her Colombina nominations.

Nufaar began her career at the ABC cabaret of Wim Kan. After that she played at Het Amsterdams Toneel and Het Publiekstheater. She can be seen regularly in television series and films such as De Chinese muur [The Chinese wall], for which she received the Best Actress Award at the Expresion en Corto festival in Guanajato, Mexico.
