biography
Chukwudi Iwuji trained at Yale and the University of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His theatre work includes Hedda Gabler, Welcome to Thebes, The Observer, and The Bacchae at the National Theatre; the title role in Hamlet, and Antony and Cleopatra at the Public Theater, New York; King Lear at Delacorte NYC; Henry VI parts 1,2 & 3 (title role), Richard III, Richard II, Henry V, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet, Coriolanus and Julius Caesar for the RSC. Other recent theatre includes The Vote at the Donmar Warehouse; Tamburlaine for Theatre for a New Audience, NYC; Richard III for the Old Vic and BAM; the title role in The Playboy of the Western World at the Abbey Theatre, Dublin; Tamburlaine at Bristol Old Vic and the Barbican; Chimps at Liverpool Playhouse; Top Dog /Under Dog for Tall Tales Theatre Company; Phaèdre, Much Ado About Nothing, King Lear, The Winter’s Tale for the American Players, Wisconsin; Indiscretions for Theatre X; Moll Flanders for Renaissance); and The Misanthrope in the West End.
His television work includes Blindspot, Crossing Lines (NBC); Madam Secretary (CBS); Murder In Manhattan (ABC); Wizards vs Aliens’, Doctor Who, Casualty, Slave Trader (BBC); Day of the Moon, The Impossible Astronaut, The Garden (Tiger Aspect); The Three Kings (Sky); and Proof (RTE).
Films include Bikini Moon, Barry, Spear, John Wick 2, Rosy, Fall to Rise, and Exam.
