biography
Djamila Landbrug (1988) graduated from HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in 2010. After her studies, she attended the Visual Arts Teacher training programme at the Willem de Kooning Academy, as well as working as an actress.
In season 17|18 she will perform in the revival of The other voice (director Ivo van Hove). Landburg played before at TA in Disgrace (In Ongenade), directed by Luk Perceval.
Landburg performed in e.g. A raisin in the sun (Well Made Productions), the Toneelschuur production Crue land Tender (Wreed en Teder), directed by Michiel de Regt, Dutch Masters (Hollandse Meesters), conceived and directed by Thabi Mooi, at the Over het IJ Festival and the Grachtenfestival, the music theatre production 23:59 (directed by Julia Bless) and The Thing (De Ding), directed by Nataschenka Le Clerq, a performance for children at the Festival Boulevard & Festival Noorderzon.
In addition to her work in theatre, she can be seen in various films and TV-series, e.g. Nieuwe Buren, Papadagen, De Spa and The Common Sense (director Melanie Gilligan).
