Having graduated from Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp in 1983, over the past 20 years Marc Van Eeghem (1960 - 2017) has appeared in many different stage productions in Belgium and the Netherlands by companies that include Arca, De Tijd, Het Zuidelijk Toneel, Toneelhuis, DAS-theater and ‘t Arsenaal. He has starred in television series like Terug naar Oosterdonk (1997), Het eiland (2004 and 2005), De Parelvissers (2006), Matroesjka’s (2006-2008), Katarakt (2007), De Ronde (2011) and Het goddelijke monster (2011). In 2011 he appeared in Frank Van Passel’s Het Varken Van Madonna.

At Toneelhuis he has played in De geruchten (2008) by Olympique Dramatique and Guy Cassiers and in Mefisto for ever (2006), Wolfskers (2007), Onder de vulkaan (2009) and De parallelactie followed by Het mystieke huwelijk, parts I and II of the series De man zonder eigenschappen (2010 and 2011) by Guy Cassiers. In 2013 he joined the Toneelhuis actors’ ensemble and appeared in Desperado. In the 2013-2014 season he trod the boards in Hamlet vs Hamlet (Guy Cassiers and Tom Lanoye). In the 2014-2015 season we can look forward to seeing him in De blinden, Maria Stuart and Passions humaines and in the revivals of Hamlet vs Hamlet and Desperado.
