biography
Actor Peter Bolhuis graduated from the Arnhemse Toneelschool in 1978. Since then he has been working in television, film and theatre. He starred in a few successful television series among which was the role of Wachtmeester Jansen in Otje, based on the story of the same name by Annie M.G. Schmidt. He also played supporting roles in various other series.
After roughly ten years he has resumed his activities on the stage, often in productions for het Nationale Toneel, but also in Toneelgroep de Appel. He was awarded the Arlecchino theatre award for most impressive male supporting role in 2011 for his contribution to Augustus: Oklahoma, directed by Antoine Uitdehaag of De Utrechtse Spelen. Last Season, he played a lead role in the commercial production of Napoleon.
In 2013 he appears in Blood Wedding, a performance for TA-2 (in collaboration with Frascati Producties), directed by Julie van den Berghe.
