biography
Sinem graduated from the Amsterdam Drama and Kleinkunst Academy in 2017. With her first solo performance in the theater, which she also wrote herself, I used to be Snow White - The (World) Tour, she made a big impression. She played in various theaters but also at festivals, such as the LowLands Festival in the Netherlands. In early 2020, Sinem made a new show 'Nobody told me there'd be days like these', which was again well received. Besides making her own work, she has also performed with Het Nationale Theater, Bouillabaisse Performance Collectief, LikeMinds, DOX and Frascati Producties.
On the big screen, Sinem can be seen as one of the main characters in the short film Eyes on the Road, which premiered at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival. On television Sinem could be seen in 7 Kleine Criminelen, Judas, Papadag and Flikken Maastricht, before she got a leading role in Hoogvliegers. In that series she played Leyla, a young woman who wants to become an F-16 pilot.
