Following A Streetcar Named Desire and Glengarry Glen Ross, two successful productions that Eric de Vroedt made with Toneelgroep Amsterdam 2, it is time for his first production on the main stage: After the Fall (Na de zondeval) by Arthur Miller, with Fedja van Huêt and Karina Smulders.

De Vroedt: ’I don't know if I have lived in good faith’ the main character Quentin asks himself in the play - a good question when you have just betrayed your best friend, when you cannot forget the war, when your career is going down the drain and when you’ve messed up two relationships. A very good question indeed if you have messed up a relationship with a woman like Marilyn Monroe! In Quentin’s head, the question leads to the condition of modern man: life as a continuous evaluation. I want to follow my heart - but for heavens sake, what is my heart telling me? I do what I believe in - but do I believe in the right things? I love you – but shouldn’t you have been somebody else?'
