romeo en julia
duration n.n.b.
Michiel van Erp's version of Romeo and Julia is about identity: can you be who you want to be? Who or what determines how you should feel and behave? The division of roles is partly cross-gender. Women play men and vice versa. Color and origin do not matter. Identity is determined by how one feels, not by how or where one was born.
In this performance, the battle between the Capulet and Montecchi families is fought on a dance floor through dance battles. Everyone can be who they want to be while dancing.
